#4 in Nebraska
Yardage: 5228 – 7,031 Yards
ArborLinks is an Arnold Palmer signature design golf course located in Nebraska City, NE. The course itself is a blend of links, traditional, and tree-lined layouts. The course opened for play in 2002 and ever since has become one of the most popular courses in the state not only for its immaculate condition, but because of the prestigious events it has hosted such as the Nebraska Amateur, Nebraska Match Play, PGA Junior Series, Nebraska Senior Match Play, and PGA Tour Q-School qualifying. It was named “Facility of the Year,” by the Nebraska PGA in 2014.
ArborLinks opened as a semi-private facility but now is exclusively members only. The course features several stay and play cabins along with a full-service restaurant. A brand new short game facility is set to open in 2017 and will surely add to the experience guests and members enjoy.
The course was built on a nature preserve and ground bordering orchards. The Palmer design group moved very little land when building this course, and as you play you will see what we mean. One of our favorite holes is #11, the down-hill par-3. With an hourglass green and swirling winds, it is one of the most scenic yet difficult shots on the whole course.
The scenery of ArborLinks is some of the best in the state. Every hole is named after a different tree and each hole has its own character. Hole #18 features a grain bin that has been on the property for years. The design team decided to leave it and laid the cart path right through the center of it. Its one of the best pictures in Nebraska golf along with one of the best finishing holes.
After your round, be sure to enjoy “Spangler’s Porch,” an all-inclusive area overlooking the 18th hole and surrounding land. With a fire pit and neighboring cabins, it truly is a peaceful experience.
