#8 You Can Play in Nebraska
Yardage: 5,040 – 7,297
Indian Creek located in Elkhorn, is one of if not the finest public facility in Nebraska. Featuring 27 Championship holes, Indian Creek will test all aspects of your game. Each 9’s name is reflective of Native American history (Gray Hawk, Black Bird, and Red Feather). Opinions vary, but we think the Red Feather 9 is the toughest on the course due in part to its brutal stretch of finishing holes.
Beginning in 2017, Indian Creek will become host to the recently unveiled “Pinnacle Bank Championship.” The Web.com Tour event will bring professional golf back to Omaha for the first time in a few years. We expect the city to embrace this event just as it has embraced the former Cox Classic and other large scale sporting events. It is an exciting time at Indian Creek, head out there to test your game!
Indian Creek most recently hosted the 2015 Nebraska State Amateur won by Rylee Reinertson. The course held its own as Reinertson was one of 2 golfers in the field to finish under par for the 72-hole event. Indian Creek also was host to the 2005 Nebraska State Amateur, and Brady Schnell (currently playing professionally) took home the title.
